Migration
The movement of birds from wintering regions to breeding regions on a seasonal basis. Migration occurs either to escape adverse conditions and food shortages or for breeding purposes.
Molting
The process of shedding old feather and replacing these with new feathers so as to renew the plumage.
Monogamy
A mating system with one male bird and one female bird.
Muskeg
A type of bog or swamp which has formed over time due to the accumulation of peat, leaves and moss.
