my son saw a bird in our backyard today with a glossy blue head a greenish tint body and he said the eye was bright white i live in michigan it stood about 8-10 inches tall

i am a fifth grader and today after school when i was walking home i found this baby bird, and when i came close to it it did not fly away.so i thought it was hurt so i ran to my house to go get a shoe box. so i got a pencil out of my backpack and poked holes.then i went back to the place where the bird was and i caught the bird.i was so excited that i caught it.and then when i got home i gave it some rice that wasn’t cooked yet and gave it some water.a couple of minutes past then it was well enough to fly away.

ok i also have 3 eggs in my back yard but they have no mother she got shot like 3 days ago by my neighbor and they are purple with blue spots what kind of birds are these???????????????????????????? i mean i need to no so that i can take care of them and so they wont die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! also my neighbor said that i should just let them die and then i should kill them and eat them!!!!!!! but im 2 nice to do that i love all animals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have seen an abundance of Robins this year, (I live in Bayville, NJ) sometimes 11/12 at a time and it’s February. Thought it to be very unusual for this time of year as I thought they migrated (as per their name). Can you explain this anomoly???

I would like to know what they eat, what kind of vitamins may I give them, and I also would like to know more about their reproduction ways.

Someone give me a pet bird and I am trying to find out what kind it is. It is baby blue with a red beak with a thin black line around his neck. It is about the size of a conure. Could you help me???

Hi everyone! We just found a bird in our backyard and I was wondering if someone could tell me what type of bird it is. It’s a dark gray, but underneath the bird is a green/blue color. It has copper eyes and it’s beak looks like a parrot’s beak. I also live in Hawaii and it’s definitely a pet bird since it’s wings were cut and has a band around its left leg.

Hi i was wondering if anyone can help me I have these birds yes i said birds that are nesting in my trees i dont mind them but i am curious what they are description as much as possible …….they have a finch like beak thier eyes seem to change in colour depending on the reflextion of the sun some times they look blue sometimes pinkish thier plumage is two colours grey brown under the wings and darker grey wings and head but the head and wings relect a green tinge to them. The other unusual thing is the noise they make when something comes near the nest or if they feel threatened is like a hiss. They seem to be friendly to humans once they realize you are not going to hurt them even to the extent of sitting at the door waiting for scraps of bread or meat any ideas would be greatly appreciated
