My husband and I added (at the last minute) some birding onto a business trip to Taipei in October. We had a fantastic time despite not speaking any Chinese - with help from http://www.taiwanecotours.com (thanks guys). Disappointingly did not spot Lophura swinhoii and Garrulax taewanus but managed to view all the other endemics in 5 days fascinating travel.

Very few Americans venture to Taiwan. This is a pity as the it's a interesting country with friendly people - and great birding.
