Hi I am considering to get a pet cockatiel. I was talking to my friend and she said that if you want a entertaining and playful bird you would get a lovebird. IS a cockatiel really not as lovable and playful as a love bird? Also if you were to pick between the two which one would you pick and why?

I found 2 baby songbirds about a week and half ago. One is progressing faster than the other, and the bigger one is not eating as much anymore. I have been feeding them dry dog food soaked throughly with water. They have just about grown all of their feathers now.Do you think maybe he wants or needs something different to eat, if so what should I feed it? And also what should I feed it when it gets older?

hi i just got a new budgie and i want to give him a friend because he is lonely but i dont want to get him a female because i dont want eggs. If i get him a male they might fight so do male budgies fight together?

My vet suggested I have my Ringneck parakeet tested for psithcosis because he keeps pulling his feathers and I have ohter birds. Is this something I should strongly consider? It is quite costly but I do not want my bird to be sick.

well i had a female finch named bella and i got her yesterday and my cat attaked her and tried to stop him and i hit him and everthing and all of a sudden her snapped her neck and she died in front of me. well i m getting a new bird this weekend.

Hi Gina,
I’m sorry to hear about this poor bird. I would strongly suggest getting it to the vet as soon as possible. Besides shock, it may also get a bad infection from the wound.
